We’ve got two Vietnamese places for you this month, and they’re both in the same neck of the woods. Both have the same price tag (~50RMB/head) to boot. This smaller joint is more like a fast food place with only seating for about forty people. It also has a menu that’s much smaller than the one at Locomotive, so we basically had to order everything on it aside from the set menus, which didn’t look that appealing to be honest with you. The one thing that we did order off the set menu was the Curry-Beef Rice Noodle Soup, which was as it looked: not impressive, but all of the rolls that we got were above par to write the least. We got the lot of them, including: the Sai Kung Shrimp Rolls, the Vietnamese Shrimp Rolls, the Apple and Shrimp Rolls, and the Vietnamese Spring Rolls, all of which were done just right. We also had the quite tasty Pineapple and Deep Fried Dough and Shrimp Salad. If you’re heading down here, we suggest you stick to these items and stay away from the set menus. And though the drinks weren’t as fresh as those at Locomotive, they were good nevertheless. Definitely go for one of their Mango or Peanut Smoothies. Now with the opening of the Double Star Café, the soon-to-be-opened Starbucks, the Oakwood, and the Regis, the EAC is really building up some steam. Our bill for four came to 191RMB, and parking is available.
