It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the majority of the MORE staff does not concern themselves with luxuriance. From the faux Chuck Taylor’s to the seemingly endless supply of tight fitting, yet equally unflattering T-shirts, it looks like most of us bought our clothes from the same Seattle thrift shop circa 1993, so it's easy to assume that we would know nothing about massage therapy, aroma therapy, or anything that requires one to put cucumber slices on their eyes and say, “I deserve this.” But you’d be wrong, because a long time ago, in lands far away, we hooked up with people way above our station, like the author of this piece who dated a girl who graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, and his caveman-like sensibilities were literally kneaded into a rather civilized appreciation for aesthetics. Dragonfly Therapeutic Retreat brings professionalism forth in an industry that is swimming in innuendo, as well as delivering a true escape for those who are in need of some world-class relief from the hustle and grind of daily life. The day we walked into their location on Nanshan Road, our olfactory senses were delighted to detect gentle hints of lavender, wood, and spices. We were led into the back room to have a look at the facilities, and were soon shrouded in darkness, as the flickering glow of candlelight combined with the faint sound of trickling water transported us away from the stresses of the day, to a place that wraps you in a warm and soothing glow. We opted for the Aroma Oil Massage (225RMB), and spent the next hour in a near dreamlike state of semi-consciousness. Every detail at Dragonfly is evidence of the great care taken to make this an experience to remember. Even the hardest surfaces of roughly-hewn decorative stone seemed to emit a soothing warmth. It feels as though you could simply sink without trace into the seats and massage beds. Dragonfly is a famous name within elite circles, and now there are two locations in Hangzhou, with the other being next to the Dragon Stadium on Xixi Road and Huanglong Road. We highly recommend this experience to anyone. You'll return refreshed, rested, and ready to face the world, and remember: you deserve this.

highly recommended! (hi_there)  2010-10-12 22:20:55
I went to Dragon Fly to have my legs waxed and it was definitely not my last time. The ladies were very nice and professional and the atmosphere fantastic; despite the pain waxing unavoidably involves, the nice scent and the lulling music did more than enough to make this waxing an overly relaxing experience! higly recommended!

Be careful!!! (Paulina)  2011-03-24 15:35:41
I went to dragonfly many times. For all kinds of massage. Massage is really amazing. I will never go anywhere else for massage.
But recently i decided to go there for a facial treatment. It was steam, all kinds of creams, masks, etc. for 400 rmb. They promised me to clean the pores and remove pimples. Well, next day when i woke up, my face looked so horrible, that i couldn't go to work. My face was covered by pimples (red ones) and allergy, and somehow my lips got tore and were bleeding.
I can not think of better place for massage, but be careful with facial treatments.
