Hangzhouvians and visitors to the city are never at a loss when it comes to delicious five-star hotel buffets. Many featurecarefully-chosen seasonal ingredients. But not every buffet however has the same range or quality of sumptuous dishes, dishes which not only appeal aesthetically to the eye but also tantalize the taste buds. What sets a buffet apart is the attention to detail and constant innovation in terms of an expanse of courses that will encourage heaping platefuls and gluttonous pursuits. One such place is the buffet at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale.
There are rows of delicacies awaiting your inspection here. There’s everything you could expect from the superb seafood station; multitudes glittering cold salad ingredients; melt-in-your-mouth salmon; one of the best cheese selections in Hangzhou; a massive dessert section that will bring out the child in all of us, and fragrant,skillfully-executed Chinese dishes.
The Wyndham has been around for a while now, and discriminating diners andthose in the knowknow that Wyndham is synonymous withhigh quality and outstanding service. With all thechoices available you might wonder how Wyndham could possibly get any better; butevidence that a “five-star hotel” is truly worthy of the designation is its ability to continue to amaze and raise the bar year after year.
Recently they have added to the Japanese sushi area, enlarging it to offer delicate vegetable tempura, hearty miso soup, and other cold Japanese dishes. The hand-sliced sashimi glistens on platters; the sushi is artfully displayed. There is alsoa newly-added Teppanyaki station allowing guests to choosefresh pieces of meat or fish to be cooked before their eyes. Master chefs skillfully and gracefully deliver mouthwatering food onto expectant guests’ plates, while other guests whisk around loading-up their plates. Finally, a lovely young lady will be walking around the dining area offering freshly-baked pizza, all the ingredients of which are top-quality and flown in from Italy -- right down to the flour. These steaming hot pies float about, stopping briefly at each table, offering a different element to the standard self-serve ambiance of the buffet.
These new additions to an already grand buffet prove that the Wyndham is up to the task of continuing to delight all of our senses.
