Wulin Square is the central business district in Hangzhou - endowed with geographical advantages and a buzzing commercial atmosphere. The district's commercial circle is set to become an all-round commercial district, embracing theme department stores, upmarket leisure and entertainment venues, and world-class commercial buildings.
The giant Hangzhou Tower Shopping Centre has already drafted its new Wulin Square expansion plan in its bid to soar to new heights. Its expansion plan includes the opening of a complex, Block C, at Huazhe Square to the north and operation of a 30,000 sqm property underground.
Over the next three years Hangzhou Tower plans to work in concert with surrounding commercial properties to expand its business area to over 200,000 sqm, involving new construction, acquisition and leasing, with the intention of tripling the area of the existing shopping centre.
The company aims to offer a full range of products, including high-end international and domestic brands, an elegant shopping environment and quality services, complete with support facilities.
Shopping is not only intended to give consumers the pleasure of feasting their eyes on a wide array of upmarket products, but also provide opportunities to enjoy the experience of shopping itself, providing tourism, commercial and leisure outlets.
Block C is to be an extension of the existing shopping centre. At present, the construction area is already over 60,000 sqm, but with the completion of the new block, the total area expands to 100,000 sqm.
