On the western end of Paomachang Alley, between Huanglong Rd. and Hangda, you’ll find Coffee Mark; a quaint, cozy, little place that serves up coffee, tea, juices, milkshakes, and set menus. As is per usual with coffee shops here they also serve up the requisite ice cream and whiskey (30 – 50RMB/oz.), so if you’re a drunk with a sweet tooth, hey hey. We stopped in for an after lunch pick-me-up and were pleased to see they offer free Wi-Fi, but were displeased at the lack of an English menu. There are some pictures to guide you. We picked up a cup of their namesake Coffee Mark for 38RMB (refills are 10RMB) and a Bailey’s Ice Coffee for 35RMB (refills full price). The former was a bit too acrid for our tastes, but the latter wasn’t so bad. We passed on the set menus, which start at 30RMB, as we had just eaten, but the ice cream is only 12RMB for a single scoop. How can you not like that? So if Starbucks is just too far away to walk to, check out Coffee Mark.
