It’s been a funny summer so far and it feels as though the heat is just kicking in. If you're looking to cool down, and you're an ice cream lover, you're already spoiled for choices; Häagen-Dazs, Dairy Queen and Giovanni are all pretty close together and now there is another option, Cold Stone Creamery. If you’ve never heard of them you will soon. Since opening their first shop back in 1988, they’ve opened over 1,400 locations all over the world. That’s an average of a new shop every week. We’ve got co-workers who can’t bath with that type of regularity.
Their location is nothing to get excited about but their sweet, thick ice cream certainly is. They have lots of signature pots to choose from. Prices start at 29RMB but expect to pay more as you discover all they have on offer. The mint and cheese cake flavors are especially good, but if you feel creative you can also mix your own. There are more than a dozen kinds of ice cream, including fat free. Choose one or two then decide what you want it mixed with. You can choose from many things including Snickers, Reese’s, M&Ms, brownies or fudge pieces. If you want to eat without the guilt, there are black cherries, blueberries, strawberries, pecans, coconut and more. The fruit, brownies, and well, everything else is fresh, and they mix it in with the ice cream right in front of you. We recommend getting the crispy waffle mixed in too. They do the mixing on a slab of frozen stone that stops the ice cream from melting. It is amazing. Amazingly delicious.
